UNIVERSITY THEATER AS SOCIAL AND CULTURAL AGENT
The International University Theater Association (AITU-IUTA) is pleased to announce that its 13th World Congress will be held in Manila, Philippines from August 25 to August 29, 2020. Organized by the IUTA Philippine Center in partnership with the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), the 13th congress seeks to provide a major forum to discuss the role of the university theater as social and cultural agent in the present time.
A considerable body of academic and practice knowledge has certainly been accumulated on these topical areas over the past 12 congresses: University Theater in general, repertoire and performance practice, research, pedagogy, cross-cultural influence. These ideas and knowledge developed from specific cultural, economic and social situations and environment, could find application and relevance in a new, dynamic context. A new economic, social and cultural setting is therefore needed to test the boundary of relevance and application of this present body of knowledge. This new boundary is how University Theater has been and can be used for social transformation.
The 13th Congress offers a variety of opportunities for contributors. It includes an academic conference, workshops, discussions, theater festival of performances and a poster display of theater projects and research.

FRANÇAIS THÈME DU CONGRÈS: LE THÉÂTRE UNIVERSITAIRE COMME AGENT SOCIAL ET CULTUREL L'Association internationale du théâtre universitaire (AITU-IUTA) est heureuse d'annoncer que son 13e Congrès mondial se tiendra à Manille, aux Philippines, du 25 au 29 août 2020. Organisé par le IUTA Philippine Center en partenariat avec le Centre culturel des Philippines (CCP), le 13e congrès cherche à fournir un forum majeur pour discuter du rôle du théâtre universitaire en tant qu'agent social et culturel à l'heure actuelle. Une somme considérable de connaissances académiques et pratiques a certainement été accumulée dans ces domaines d'actualité au cours des 12 derniers congrès: théâtre universitaire en général, pratique du répertoire et de la performance, recherche, pédagogie, influence interculturelle. Ces idées et connaissances développées à partir de situations et d'un environnement culturel, économique et social spécifiques pourraient trouver application et pertinence dans un nouveau contexte dynamique. Un nouveau cadre économique, social et culturel est donc nécessaire pour tester la frontière de pertinence et d'application de cet ensemble actuel de connaissances. Cette nouvelle frontière est la façon dont le théâtre universitaire a été et peut être utilisé pour la transformation sociale. Le 13e Congrès offre une variété de possibilités aux contributeurs. Il comprend une conférence académique, des ateliers, des discussions, un festival de théâtre de performances et une exposition d'affiches de projets et de recherches théâtrales. Bon travail à tous.
Vito Minoia / AITU-IUTA Président ESPAÑOL TEMA DEL CONGRESO: TEATRO UNIVERSITARIO COMO AGENTE SOCIAL Y CULTURAL La Asociación Internacional de Teatro Universitario (AITU-IUTA) se complace en anunciar que su 13º Congreso Mundial se celebrará en Manila, Filipinas, del 25 al 29 de agosto de 2020. Organizado por el Centro Filipino IUTA en colaboración con el Centro Cultural de Filipinas. (CCP), el 13 ° congreso busca proporcionar un foro importante para discutir el papel del teatro universitario como agente social y cultural en la actualidad. Ciertamente, se ha acumulado una considerable cantidad de conocimientos académicos y prácticos en estas áreas temáticas en los últimos 12 congresos: teatro universitario en general, repertorio y práctica de interpretación, investigación, pedagogía, influencia intercultural.
